sunblock ^TM is PHAT Energy's program for neighborhoods, organizations and affinity groups that want to commit to solar together.  

By accumulating the savings that we might receive from making installations with one single group in a specific perior of time, we can pass significant discounts to those families.  We present those discounts in the form of rebates: once all of the systems in a sunblock have been installed, we send back the participating families a check.  It's that easy.

How many homes installations are in a sunblock? 
A minimum of three or more.

What is the geographical definition of a sunblock? 
Any series of homes within the same street, on contiguous streets, or in a neighborhood.

How much money?
A minimum of $1000!  With more sign-ups, more savings.  (Small systems of less than 3kW will receive $500 in savings at the minimum subscription level).

When are the rebate checks sent?
We send all checks out within 3 weeks of the last completed, paid installation in the sunblock.

Do all participants have to have the same type of system?
No, each family can have its own custom solar solution.

Does PHAT Energy help organize a sunblock?
Absolutely!  We provide pamphlets, mailers, banners, and refreshments for presentations at a host's home.  We'll even deliver the invitation on behalf of the host.

Do hosts get anything extra for organizing a sunblock?  PHAT Energy will pay you $50 for hosting a sunblock at your house.  You provide the living room, we bring everything else: the refreshments, and even take away the trash.
