PHAT Energy is proud to anounce the release of PHATports specifically designed and manufactured for the SunPower 300's line of panels (i.e., the SPR-327, or any of the 96-cell SPR panels). A PHATport frames the panel, it does not cut across it with rails. As a result, the entire underside of the panel is exposed, allowing natural light to stream through the backsheet and outline the cells. Because the SunPower panels do not offer effaced junctions boxes, and because SunPower panels also display tags on the backsheet, the PHATport Solar Decks also come with a narrow valence (cover) which hides the junction box, the wires, and the tags.
A version of the PHATport350 structure that can be extended to indefinite length, the PHATportTM 350d (as in "daisy chain") will allow linkage of multiple PHATport structures together for small to medium commercial applications, up to any number of structures when on level ground. The PHATportTM350d is designed for any SunPower 300’s and for the Sanyo HIT Double 195. Comprised of two or three 2x3 PHATports, it holds 12 or 18 panels. Delivery includes footings, posts, crowns and beams, decks with integrated wiring channels and caps. It includes a hollow beam construction for full concealment of wiring. The product can be disassembled after a span of time and repositioned by a qualified contractor. You would have the option to install (not included) any UL1786 Standard EV Charger, including Coulomb, AV, SPX and Leviton; also low voltage lighting, fans, security cameras, and audio speakers. Product can be delivered primed, painted or powder coated in a variety of colors. Option to hot-dip galvanize for seaside environments. Distributed weight allows installation on top decks of post-tensioned parking structures. The structure is rapidly erected and is water resistant.
About the PHATportTM350
PHAT Energy sells the PHATportTM 350 structure to Sanyo installers and Sunpower dealers. This product falls in the category of stand alone racking structure, pv ground mount, or pv racking. We supply the product and all its related components, including panels (can also be ordered and installed directly by dealer), car chargers, and l.v. lighting on a dealer-direct basis. The 350 interfaces with Sanyo Double PV modules or Sunpower 300 series panels, and could be sold with the those panels, inverter, disconnect, and permit package, however the structure can also be ordered by itself.
The 350 ships in three to six weeks and would arrive at the job site on a pallet. The PHATports (decks) require forklift or small crane to place on to the 350 structur . This is not a product that non-professionals can assemble. It requires levelled concrete pads to be poured, j-bolts to be secured and a knowledge of both AC and DC electric installations. Prospective dealers interested in selling and installing the PHATportTM 350 or the 350d for Sanyo or for SunPower products are welcome to inquire. At minimum, we will require a contractor's license documenting that you are a General Contractor, Solar Contractor or Electrical Contractor in the state in which we would be shipping the product, along with current proof of liability insurance. For Sunpower PHATports, you must document that you are a Sunpower dealer if you wish to have the PHATports delivered with your panels pre-assembled. NOTE: because of the size and weight of PHATports, it is not a simple task to assemble and weather seal the panels into the decks.
Wind, snow and hurricane ratings can all be met upon request. Our standard ratings are 90MPH sustained wind speeds, and 5 lbs/sqft. for snow load. Just want the PHATports without a support structure?
We also sell just the PHATports, or the decks with no structure, with the Sanyo Double for commercial or residential solutions; we also sell it for Sunpower 300 series panels for Sunpower dealers only. Both are available in configurations of 2, 3, 4 or 6 panel decks. We do not ship overseas at this point, though we welcome well supported and documented presentations about representation in foreign countries. Please call for dimensions and spec's if you are designing a structure specifically to receive our PHATports.
